Greetings from FOMCA!

FOMCA together with the Malaysian Association of Standards Users (Standards Users) and the National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC) will be organizing a Training Workshop on Social Responsibility from 18th until 19th September followed by the 6th Complaintfest 2012 on 20th September 2012 at Cititel Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur.

The ISO 26000 provides guidance on principles of social responsibility, with its core subjects and issues pertaining to best practices and tools for social responsibility. It provides ways to integrate socially responsible behaviour into existing organisational strategies, systems, practices and processes to ultimately meet sustainable development goals. The standard is intended to for all types of organisations in the private, public and non-profit sectors, whether large or small, and whether operating in developed or developing countries.

The NCCC, formed in 2004, is one of the the pioneers in Consumer Dispute Resolution in both South East Asia as well as Malaysia. On 2011, the organisation handled approximately 37000 complaints throughout Malaysia and also from overseas, a 10% increase from 2010. The relevance and impact on NCCC among the consumers can be evidenced in the Annual Report as the number of complaints has increased again for the 7th consecutive year. Complaints received were divided into 20 different categories this year as few categories have been consolidated and merged.

In light of the above, we would like to invite senior personnel (executives and managers) from your organization to join this 3-day training and workshop which aims to cultivate better social responsibility and consumer friendly approaches which will amalgamate into the standard operating procedures of your organization.

Sign up now for either one of the workshops and get a complimentary seat for the other.

Attached herewith are the brochures of the Training and Workshop On Social Responsibility ISO 26000 and 6th Complaintfest 2012 for your perusal.

We look forward to your insightful participation in the abovementioned trainings and workshops.

Thank you in anticipation.

Yours sincerely,

Datuk Marimuthu Nadason
President, FOMCA
