PETALING JAYA: Hidden charges, unclear terms and conditions, and difficulties resolving disputes with service providers are among the main complaints received by the National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC) involving 'buy now, pay later' (BNPL) services.
BNPL is often promoted as interest- and hassle-free when payments are made the following month, creating the perception that it is not a form of debt.

JOHOR BAHRU: Peniaga makanan laut di bandar raya ini yang didakwa mengenakan caj bayaran mahal kepada pelanggan baru-baru ini, diberi notis justifikasi oleh Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN) Johor.
Pengarah KPDN Johor Lilis Saslinda Pornomo berkata tindakan awal terhadap peniaga itu dibuat pada 5.30 petang semalam, mengikut Seksyen 12 Akta Perlindungan Pengguna 1999 kerana meletakkan harga mengelirukan.

PETALING JAYA - Meskipun pihak berkuasa tempatan kerap melakukan operasi melupuskan kenderaan usang, namun kes lambakan kenderaan terbiar sekitar flat di Lembah Klang seakan tidak bernoktah sehingga mencetus kerisauan dalam kalangan masyarakat setempat.
Difahamkan, terdapat lebih 20 kenderaan dipercayai mengalami kerosakan tersadai di parkir flat Desa Mentari 3 di sini, sehingga menyebabkan kekurangan tempat letak kereta selain menyebabkan laluan keluar masuk menjadi sempit.

SHAH ALAM - Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) merekodkan peningkatan aduan kes ah long sebanyak 40 peratus sejak November tahun lalu disebabkan kesan pandemik Covid-19.
Setiausaha Kerja PPIM, Zharif Johor berkata, jumlah aduan harian meningkat sekali ganda berbanding sebelum ini kerana dipercayai lebih ramai terlibat dengan pinjaman ah long kerana desakan hidup.

PETALING JAYA: A woman has lodged a police report claiming she has been “harassed” by a supermarket over a disputed payment for groceries.
On Aug 1, Vijiya and her parents went to NSK Selayang to purchase groceries and paid a total of RM556.15 for the items by using a BSN debit card.
However, she said, the cashier told them the transaction was unsuccessful and requested them to pay with cash.
